Hyderabad: Six tribal laborers from Nalgonda district were killed when a lorry hit an auto in the early hours of Wednesday morning in AP. Seven others were seriously injured. This accident took place while going to pick chillies. The dead and injured are Narsapuram village of Damaracharla mandal of Nalgonda district. CM KCR expressed shock over the accident. 5 lakhs to the families of the deceased and Rs. Lakh exgratia announced. CM KCR ordered Minister Jagadish Reddy and local MLA Bhaskar Rao to ensure that better medical treatment is provided to the injured. After crossing the Vadapalli border Krishna bridge, a speeding lorry hit their car at Sangugula of Dhagepalli mandal in AP. The auto overturned. Islawat Manjula (26), Bhukya Padma (28), Malothu Kavitha (30), Islawat Parvathi (44), Bhukya Soni (48) and Vadtya Sakri (49) who were in the auto died on the spot. Seven others were seriously injured. The accident took place within half an hour after the auto left. Police shifted the injured to Gurjala Area Hospital. The bodies of six people were taken to the same hospital for postmortem. Narsapuram was struck with sadness as six people from the same village died. The police believe that the accident happened because the lorry driver was speeding while drowsy. MLA Bhaskar Rao immediately reached the spot. Visited the affected families. Under immediate assistance, each family was given Rs.10,000 and another Rs.50,000 for medical expenses.
