Ludhiana: Two smugglers arrested with 350 grams of heroin

Ludhiana: Ludhiana Police has claimed to have arrested two people in separate incidents and seized 350 grams of heroin from their possession. ADCP (Crime) Amandeep Singh Brar said in a statement that on September 5, SI Satnam Singh, on receiving information about a heroin smuggler, raided and arrested Rama Singh, a resident of Janta Colony, and seized 200 grams of heroin from his possession. A case has been registered against him under the NDPS Act and further investigation has been started.

Brar said that in another case, SI Mohan Singh, along with his team, raided and arrested Mohit, a resident of Vijay Nagar. Police seized 150 grams of heroin from him. After registering a case against the person, the police have started further investigation to bust the entire drug supply line. More smugglers involved in the network will be caught in further investigation. Sources said that the police have identified some big heroin smugglers with whom both the suspects were in contact. Mohit has a criminal history and two cases including drug trafficking and fraud are already registered against him.
