Mahindra stole the show with its SUV sales soaring
Business Business: Mahindra cars are very popular among Indian customers. The most demanded among the cars of this company are SUVs like Mahindra XUV 3X0, XUV 700, Thar, Bolero and Scorpio. Last month, in August 2024, Mahindra put the flagship on sale again. Mahindra sold a total of 43,277 vehicles in the domestic market last month. A year ago in August 2023, Mahindra sold a total of 37,270 cars. During this period, Mahindra’s revenue grew 16.12% year-on-year. Talking about the powertrain, customers get two engine options in Mahindra Tar Rocks. The first example is equipped with a 2-liter 4-cylinder turbo gasoline engine that produces a maximum power of 160 hp and a maximum torque of 330 Nm. Additionally, this off-road SUV has a 2.2-liter four-cylinder diesel engine that produces 150 horsepower and a maximum torque of 330 Nm. For the SUV engine, customers can choose between a six-speed manual transmission or an automatic transmission. In the market, the Mahindra Tar Rocks will compete with SUVs like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Honda Levitate and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara.
On the design front, the Mahindra Tar Rocks features a new grille, C-shaped LED daytime running lights, projector headlamps, circular fog lamps, dual-tone alloy wheels and integrated rear door handles. Additionally, the interior of the Mahindra Tar Rocks features a 10.25-inch touchscreen, an infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, a fully digital instrument cluster, ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof and an automatic thermostat and an air conditioning in the rear.
