Main accused arrested in Karnataka lawyer murder case

Kalaburagi (Karnataka): The main accused in the murder case of a lawyer in the city-based Kalaburagi district has been arrested, police said on Sunday. According to the police, Neelkanth Patil disappeared from the basement of an apartment on December 7 after robbing Erangouda Patil in broad daylight. A camera had recorded the incident which showed the accused chasing the victim. On Saturday, police said they had captured Neelkanth, but did not give any details. However, a police source said that property related problems were a possible reason for the brutal murder. Protesters from Kalaburagi and several other towns had protested against the killing of Erangouda Patil.
