Major fire broke out in furniture showroom

Recangpio. Late night of Diwali, a massive fire was witnessed at Chandra Wooden Art Showroom in the district headquarters Reckong Peo. The fire department made every effort to extinguish the massive fire that broke out in the showroom full of furniture, yet many valuable items including furniture worth lakhs of rupees were burnt to ashes.

Many valuable items including sofas, beds, windows, doors, pictures of gods and goddesses made of wood are said to be kept in the wooden furniture showroom, which was burnt to ashes. The initial estimate of loss has been said to be Rs 70 lakh. The upper floor of the building has also suffered a lot of damage in this fire incident.

It is said that a massive fire incident took place at Chandra Wooden Art Showroom at 2 o’clock on Sunday night. When this incident happened, most of the people had gone to sleep after celebrating Diwali. The main cause of the fire is being investigated by the police.
