On hearing the name Golgappa, the mouth waters…the mind starts getting tempted. That’s why you will find the craze for Golgappa everywhere, from street vendors in the market to five star hotels. It would not be wrong to say that Golgappa is one of the most healthy and famous street food of India. You can prepare and eat it at home and also give a new flavor to Golgappa.
Yes, Golgappa can be prepared not only from semolina and flour but also from Moong Dal. However, you might be wondering what the taste of Moong Dal Golgappa will be like, then believe me it is very tasty, which can be enjoyed with spicy food. Can be easily served with water also. Golgappa recipe
First of all, add moong dal flour and semolina in a bowl and mix well. Then add baking soda, ghee and 1 teaspoon oil and mix.
Knead a stiff dough by adding water gently and leave the dough to rest for some time.
It would be better to keep the flour wrapped in a wet cloth for half an hour.
After half an hour, apply oil on your hands and smooth them gently for 5 minutes.
Then prepare balls of dough with light hands and press gently and roll them like rotis.
After rolling the roti, prepare small golgappas using a small glass. During this time, put oil in a pan and keep it to heat.
When the oil becomes hot, add the rolled balls into it and fry them. After it becomes crispy, take it out in a plate and serve it with spicy water.

Material
Moong dal- 1 cup (ground)
Semolina- half cup
Baking soda- 1 tsp
Ghee- 2 spoons
Oil- for frying
