- 1/2 kg chicken
- 2 cups rice
- 1 cup curd
- 1 cup onion (chopped)
- 4-6 cloves garlic (finely chopped)
- 8-10 raisins
- 2 cloves
- 4 green cardamoms
- 2 pieces of cinnamon
- 2 tsp cumin
- 2 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 2 tsp mace powder
- 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
- 2 tbsp desi ghee
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1 piece ginger (finely chopped)

First of all wash the rice and soak it in water for 20 minutes.
Now cut the chicken into equal pieces and clean it.
After this, add curd, turmeric powder, salt, coriander powder, black pepper powder and red chili powder in a bowl and mix it well to make a paste.
Put ghee in a pan on medium flame and keep it for heating.
As soon as the ghee is hot, add cumin, clove, cardamom and cinnamon and fry it lightly.
Then add onion, garlic and ginger and fry.
After the onion is fried, add curd mixture to it and cook.
After leaving the oil of spices, add chicken to it and cook for 2 minutes.
After the chicken is lightly cooked, add water and salt and cook till it comes to a boil.
Now add rice and cover it and let it cook.
Meanwhile, add raisins and mace powder to it and mix it gently with a ladle and let it cook for some more time.
Switch off the gas after the fixed time.
Kashmiri Chicken Pulao is ready. Serve it hot.
