Malaria Free Chhattisgarh Campaign till 10 July 2023

Malaria Free Chhattisgarh Campaign District Narayanpur Under the National Vector Borne Disease Program, the eighth phase of Malaria Free Chhattisgarh Campaign is being successfully implemented by starting from June 15, 2023 and till July 10, 2023. In Bastar division, most of the area comes in the area of Abujhmad, which has been more affected by malaria in the past. RD to the target population in seven phases during the campaign. Complete treatment was done by checking malaria through insect. In the eighth phase, a total population of 1 lakh 52 thousand 552 has been targeted to be tested for malaria through RD insect. For this, the total number of survey teams is 145 and the total number of survey team members is 513 and 22 supervisors have been deployed for smooth supervision and monitoring of the work. On arrival of a positive case, entry malaria drugs will be fed by the first dose health worker (first member of the team) immediately in front of him. Where the second and third doses are given under the supervision of Mitanins so that the patient can be completely cured. On June 14, 2023, the campaign related materials were provided by training the survey teams, and from June 15, 2023, the campaign was started from Chhotedogar under the guidance of Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. TR Kunwar.

Till June 21, 2023, a total of 34 thousand 910 people were infected with malaria by RD Kitke, in which 272 malaria positive patients were found, who were given complete treatment. Supply of local food items and Chikki for complete treatment of patients affected by malaria, cooperation of health colleagues at district level for providing complete medicines to the patients, making people aware through street plays in local language, R.D. Complete treatment is being done when malaria is positive on insect test. On coming positive, slides of those patients are being examined immediately. If someone comes positive then complete treatment will also be done again. Apart from this, citizens are motivated for maximum use of antimalarial medicine coated mardani and people are urged to sprinkle antimalarial medicine on the walls of the house. In order to reduce the positivity rate in the target population, a target has been set to bring Malaria-free Chhattisgarh campaign to the minimum annual parasite index.
