Man and sister-in-law rescued from Kathajodi, reach police station themselves
Cuttack: In a shocking incident, a man and sister-in-law were allegedly rescued from Kathajodi and have reached the police station. A duo had reportedly jumped into the Kathajodi River from Trisulia Bridge in Cuttack on Friday evening.
As per the Aadhar Cards found on the bridge the couple are Pradyumn Lenka and Barsha Lenka of Banki area of Cuttack city, informed sources.
The duo went to Trisulia bridge in the evening and jumped into the river after keeping their mobile phone, Aadhar Cards and slippers on the bridge before anyone could prevent them from doing so.
It is yet to be known what forced Pradyumn and Barsha to take the drastic step, the local police and firefighters reached the spot after getting information and launched a search operation to trace the missing duo.
Later, on Saturday morning the duo were allegedly rescued and reached the police station. Further detailed reports awaited in this regard.
