Man and woman arrested along with their son in the case of murder of guards, police revealed

Janjgir-Champa. The police has solved the case of brutal murder of two guards in the famous liquor shop of village Seoni in Champa. Two and a half months after the incident, the masked killer has finally been arrested. The killer was so vicious that he covered his face with a mask during the murder, so that he could not be identified. Recently, the police had announced a reward of Rs 5,000 for anyone providing information about the accused. Actually, this sensational double murder incident took place in the liquor shop of Champa police station, village Seoni. At 1.30 am on November 4 (Saturday), a masked man arrived in village Seoni village with an ax in his hand and attacked the sleeping liquor shop guards Yadunandan Patel and Jaikumar Suryavanshi on their heads and killed them. Both of them died on the spot in the incident. The CCTV footage installed in the shop shows that the accused entered the liquor shop and ran away with cash and a bottle of expensive liquor. This incident shook the entire district. After receiving information about the incident, top officials of Janjgir police reached the spot and CCTV footage was scrutinized. Meanwhile, a masked man was seen in the CCTV, who had an ax in his hand and was keeping cash and liquor bottles inside the liquor shop. The murderer had completely covered his face, hence it was quite challenging for the Janjgir police to identify him. Was.

SP Vijay Aggarwal took the incident seriously and a big team was formed for this. The team conducted a thorough investigation of the incident site and surrounding CCTV footage by technical experts. Tower dump of places like Seoni, Pisaud, Hathnevara, Barabaspur, Govinda, Karra Mod etc. was taken from the incident site and surrounding areas. Activities of about 7,40,500 numbers related to the incident site were confirmed, on the basis of which call detail records of about 386 SIM numbers were scrutinized. Around 714 mobile numbers were verified. Statements of more than 100 persons were taken. The special team of the police was continuously searching for the whereabouts of the unknown accused who carried out the incident by camping at the incident site and suspicious places. With time the incident was becoming old, but due to constant police activity and technical experts, every mobile number was being continuously monitored. A cash reward was also announced for anyone providing information about the incident and a video of the incident was also released. The video was circulated among the general public by the police.

Meanwhile, on January 17, the informer gave information about the accused involved in the incident. As soon as the information was received, the police arrested the suspect Shivshankar alias Munna along with his father Sahni Ram Chauhan, 29 years resident of Sukhri Phatak and was strictly interrogated.

The accused told that in order to rob the liquor shop, he had planned the incident along with his wife’s first husband’s son Krishna Sahis (21 years) and his wife Mangali alias Mala Sahis (45 years) wearing a mask. As part of the planning, on November 4, he along with his wife Mangali Sahis alias Mala Sahis Sal and Krishna Sahis, son of her first husband Ajay Sahis, set out to rob a liquor shop.

To hide his identity, he made a mask of black cloth to camouflage his face and left the house at 12 o’clock on the night of 4-5 November and reached the liquor shop Seoni via the railway track. Where his son Krishna started feeding biscuits to the dogs who were constantly staying at the government liquor shop Seoni at the spot. The accused Shivshankar, wearing a mask, reached the liquor shop with a towel in his hand and started waiting for both the guards to sleep. When both the guards fell asleep at 12:20, they were killed by hitting them on the head with a hanger at 12:50. After the murder, he started breaking the lock of the shop, meanwhile an unknown person came there under the influence of alcohol, whom Munna Sahis caught and left him outside on the road. After this, he again broke the lock of the shop and entered inside and stole the money kept near the counter. They also broke the lock of the English liquor shop and stole 2 pieces of expensive liquor from the English liquor shop and from there both of them returned to their home.

The police had hidden the panties, pana and mask used in the incident in the house. The accused kept spending the stolen money slowly. Meanwhile, he lived in Dabhra area of Sakti district, his son Krishna lived in Bamhanidih police station area and his wife Mala lived in Seoni. Separate memorandums of all the accused were recorded and the weapon used in the incident, pan, mask, clothes worn, lock, empty liquor bottle stolen and Rs. 4500 cash was seized. During investigation, action is being taken against the accused in Champa police station under crime number 537/2023, sections 302, 460, 120B, 34 IPC.
