Man arrested for raping minor in Srinagar

Srinagar (IANS). Police have arrested a man for raping a minor girl in Jammu and Kashmir’s Srinagar city. The police gave this information on Thursday.

The police officer said that 46-year-old Muhammad Iqbal of Sogam area of Kupwara district has been arrested. Iqbal currently lives in Pamposh Colony, Srinagar.

The man is accused of raping a 15-year-old girl. A case has been registered under relevant sections of the law and further investigation has been initiated, police said.
