Man commits suicide in Delhi hotel room
New Delhi (IANS) | A 30-year-old man committed suicide in a hotel room in Delhi’s Karol Bagh area. A police officer gave this information on Tuesday. The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Amir, a resident of Mohalla Kabristan in the city.
The incident came to light on Monday when a PCR call regarding a suicide was received at Karol Bagh police station.
The officer said a police team reached Hotel Golden Deluxe and found the victim hanging from the ceiling fan.
The crime team inspected the room.
The family members have been informed, the officer said. Preliminary investigation has revealed that the deceased was married in January. The body has been sent to the mortuary for postmortem.
According to the police, prima facie it seems to be a case of suicide.
We have initiated action under section 174 of the CrPC, the officer said.
