Man dies after falling into lift shaft, know the whole matter

Ranchi: A man was found dead in Ranchi after he went airborne through a lift duct door and fell down four levels into the basement due to missing platforms. According to Ranchi Superintendent of Police, “The deceased has been identified as Shailesh Kumar, who died after falling into the lift shaft.”

Giving information about the incident, the SP said, “The deceased pressed the lift button on the fourth floor to reach the ground floor on Friday. After which the lift door opened immediately. He was not aware that the lift platform It’s closed.” ‘Did not come, Shailesh entered the lift duct and fell to the ground four floors below in the shaft.

Praveen Kumar, security guard of the building, said that massive sounds were being heard. Everyone ran to save him, but Shailesh succumbed to his injuries and died on the spot.

The official further said that the lift has since been sealed. A formal complaint has been lodged at the local police station.
“We are investigating the matter, more details are awaited,” the officer said.
