Man jumps in front of Delhi Metro, dies
New Delhi (IANS). A Delhi Police official said that a man committed suicide by jumping in front of a train at AIIMS Metro station on Friday.
The deceased has been identified as 40-year-old Amit Singh, a resident of Bihar.
The officer said that the police received a PCR call regarding the incident of a man jumping on the metro track, following which a team immediately reached the spot.
The police team found that the victim had already been removed from the track and shifted to AIIMS Trauma Centre.
The deceased was identified through his Aadhaar card.
Preliminary investigation revealed that he died on the spot due to severe head injury.
“Process under section 174 of CrPC is underway,” the officer said.
