Man murdered in leather complex
Kolkata: Lalbazar is already shaken by the recent incidents of hacking and murder in the city. Starting from Chitpur, after Maidan and Chingrighata, now the incident site is Kolkata Leather Complex police station area. A young man was murdered on the road at seven o’clock on Monday morning. The name of the deceased is Sheikh Bhola. Leather Complex police station claims that this incident happened due to family enmity. Sheikh Bhola was taken to NRS Hospital in a bleeding condition from the spot but he could not be saved. Doctors said that he died due to excessive bleeding in the body. Police are searching for a person named Sheikh Jaqib who is suspected to be involved in this incident. After the incident the accused fled from the area.
Kolkata Police DC (ED) Arish Bilal told ETV Bharat that the investigation is ongoing and the police is searching for the accused. Meanwhile, this murder incident which took place in front of a tea shop at around seven in the morning has spread sensation in the entire area. It is known that Sheikh Bhola had come to the tea shop this morning as usual. Bhola’s niece’s husband Sheikh Jaqib came to the spot. Due to family discord, the niece was living at Bhola’s house for a long time. Her husband Jaqib had an old grudge against her. A small chatter at the tea stall gave way to a terrible murmur. Eyewitnesses told the police that the argument escalated into a fight, after which Jaqib took out a sharp knife from his pocket and placed it directly on Bhola’s chest. When he fell on the road, the accused started attacking him with a knife.
After this, people of the area reached the spot and got scared and Jaqib immediately left the area. After receiving the information, policemen of Kolkata Leather Complex police station reached the spot. Detectives from the Homicide Department of Kolkata Police also came. Later DC (ED) of Kolkata Police Arish Bilal came to the spot. Police are already searching for the accused in the area. The investigators are also talking to the families of the deceased in this incident. In this incident, the police have registered a case of murder in Kolkata Leather Complex police station. Lalbazar is already on edge with a total of four murders in the last one week in the city’s North, Central Kolkata and South Kolkata.
