Man stabbed to death for refusing bidi in Delhi
New Delhi (IANS). In Delhi’s Shahbad Dairy area, a worker refused to smoke beedi with another worker. Angered by this, he stabbed and killed him. A Delhi Police officer gave this information on Wednesday.
The incident took place on Tuesday and the deceased has been identified as Sanjay Mishra (35), a resident of Shahbad Dairy.
According to the police, a call was received at the police control room at around 9 am that a dead body was lying in the woods near Sanskriti Apartment, with stab marks on it.
A senior police officer said, “On reaching the spot, the caller identified as Suman, a civil defense volunteer, showed the body lying in an empty space near Mahadev Chowk along with his friend Sudhir.”
The officer said a case was registered at Shahbad Dairy police station and investigation was initiated.
During investigation, the accused was identified as Satyawan, 20, a resident of Shahbad Dairy, who was apprehended.
“He works as a laborer in a carpentry shop and on interrogation, he revealed that on Monday night, he was passing through the area near Mahadev Chowk and there he saw Mishra along with his friend,” the officer said. Saw. He asked for beedi from them, but on their refusal and misbehavior, he stabbed them with a knife.
“The knife used in the crime has been recovered,” the officer said.
