Man wearing traditional ‘Veshti’ denied entry into Virat Kohli’s restaurant
Mumbai: A video that recently surfaced is making headlines on social media, in which a man from Tamil Nadu can be seen claiming that he was forced to wear a traditional white wrap-like cloth for his lower body at Virat Kohli’s restaurant in Mumbai. Was barred from entry due to dress ‘Veshti’. , often used in southern India.
In the clip posted on The man claims that he had to travel from Tamil Nadu to join the eatery and however, he was ‘hurt’ and ‘disappointed’ by this behaviour. He clarified that after settling into his hotel, he “eagerly visited Virat Kohli’s Juhu restaurant, of whom he is a fan.” He claimed that he was wearing “high-class attire of a renowned brand”, but the administration did not let him inside. He claimed that his attire did not comply with the establishment’s mandatory dress code.
