Mancherial NEWS: Colourful closing ceremony of summer camp in Mancherial
Mancherial: The two-week long summer camp called Creative Kids concluded in grand style at the premises of Maitree Yoga and Naturopathy Centre (MYNCC) here on Sunday. At the closing ceremony of the camp, boys and girls dressed in fine costumes performed cultural programmes, which mesmerized the audience. Some of them performed yoga asanas while others demonstrated karate and played musical instruments learnt in the camp. Prizes were given to the winners of chess, sports, essay writing and painting competitions organised for the participants on Sunday.
Certificates of participation were also handed over to the children. Dr. P. Sameera, Founder of MYNCC, advised parents to spare at least thirty minutes for their children every day. She asked parents not to condition children at an early age and allow them the freedom to grow independently. She said that with the advent of smart phones, children are not getting the love and attention of parents. Dr KN Sukumar, another founder of the wellness centre, said summer camps bring out the hidden talents of children and help them hone their skills in sports, arts, dance and other fields of their choice. He said every child is a unique and special individual. He advised parents to recognise and encourage their children’s passion for a field rather than forcing them to pursue it.
