Mann Ki Baat reached 100 crore listeners: IIM survey
New Delhi: IIM Rohtak on Friday said it has conducted a survey in collaboration with the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and found that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s monthly program Mann Ki Baat has reached 100 crore listeners across the country.
“About ninety-six percent of the population is aware of PM Modi’s monthly radio program Mann Ki Baat. The program has reached 100 crore people who are aware and have listened to the program at least once,” these figures were revealed in a study commissioned by Prasar Bharati and conducted by the Indian Institute of Management, Rohtak.
The study, which was released during the institute’s 15th Foundation Day celebrations, found that 23 crore people attend the program regularly, while another 41 crore are occasional visitors, with many converting into regular viewers. There is scope for it to happen.
The study tries to assess what impact Mann Ki Baat has had on the population in its 99 editions so far. It said that most of the listeners have become aware of the functioning of governments and 73 percent are optimistic and feel that the country will progress.
As many as 58 percent of listeners said their living conditions had improved, while a similar number (59 percent) reported increased trust in the government.
Meanwhile, Professor Dheeraj Sharma, Director, IIM Rohtak, said the institute also advises important organizations like the Board of Army Management Studies, Central Armed Police Forces and the Ministry of Agriculture and Commerce on important projects related to training and aspiration mapping of the young new generation officers. Is. There is a need for analysis and crop residue management respectively.
During the foundation day ceremony, Haryana Chief Secretary Sanjeev Kaushal claimed that the institute embodies the thought of Mahatma Gandhi by combining modern management ideas with the timeless wisdom of ancient texts.
Taking inspiration from Ramayana, Mahabharata, Bhagavad Gita and Arthashastra, he mentioned how IIM Rohtak emphasizes on effective management through strategic thinking. He highlighted the important role of the institute in contributing to the development of Haryana by training public servants and promoting governance.
He expressed pride in the upcoming expansion campus of IIM Rohtak in Gurugram, which he described as the emerging startup capital of the country.
IIM conducts in-company programs for organizations including CRPF, BIS, LIC, ITBP, IOCL, Tata AIG, Indian Police Services and Haryana Police Services. IIM Rohtak is known for its impressive research, consistently ranking among the top three IIMs in research output per faculty, the official said.
IIM Rohtak has also conducted consultancy projects for the Haryana government, including the Ministry of Tourism, Department of Posts and Telegraphs and Ministry of Consumer Affairs, the official said.
Professor Dheeraj Sharma summed up the discussion and concluded with the message “Remain conscientious with pure intentions”.
He said that IIM Rohtak, a premier institute of national importance with over 1500 students enrolled in various programmes, has recently achieved AMBA accreditation, making it among the top 2 per cent of management institutes across the world. . With female representation increasing by more than 70 percent over the last three years, the institute hosts students from over 30 different Indian states and union territories.
