Man’s dead body found in South Delhi
New Delhi (IANS). Delhi Police recovered the body of a man from Lodhi Colony area of South Delhi on Tuesday morning. An officer gave this information.
According to the police, at around 6.30 a.m. on Tuesday, Lodhi Colony Police Station was informed about a body lying on the footpath near Khanna Market, following which a police team reached the spot.
“The body has been identified as Shiva, a resident of Mehar Chand Market, Lodhi Colony,” a senior police officer said.
“The crime team was called to the spot. The deceased has injuries on hands, legs and back of the head. The body has been kept in the mortuary and post-mortem will be conducted,” the officer said.
“The deceased was a drug addict and was registered as a ‘bad character’ at police station Lodhi Colony. He was involved in a total of eight cases,” the officer said.
