Many children were bitten by bees in Anganwadi, one died
Gorella Pendra Marwahi. A swarm of bees attacked the children at the Anganwadi centre, resulting in the death of a 5-year-old boy, Rishabh. Another badly injured child is undergoing treatment in the hospital. The incident is of Dojra village of Gorela block. There is a big hive of bees in the Anganwadi toilet here. It is used by the children and staff coming here for studies and food, but the Anganwadi worker and the supervisor did not get it removed by ignoring it. On August 9, in the afternoon, a swarm of bees attacked the students. In this Rishabh and Lakshya also tried to run away but they fell into a drain.
Lakshya somehow escaped but Rishabh was swarmed by bees. On getting the news, the parents of the children reached the Anganwadi center. Both the children were taken to the hospital but Lakshya could not be saved there. Regarding this incident, the villagers have complained about the Anganwadi worker and supervisor to the officials of the Women and Child Development Department. He says that despite the danger, these people did not take any step to remove the beehive.
