“Margherita Debate Masters” organized at India Club Margherita
Assam: Intra sub-divisional level debate competition “Margherita Debate Masters” was organized at India Club Margherita.
Tinsukia: The final round of Intra Sub-Divisional level debate competition “Margherita Debate Masters” organized by Margherita Education Block under the aegis of SDO (Civil) Margherita in collaboration with NE Coalfield (CIL) was held at India Club Margherita on Monday. ,
The debate competition among all government schools (up to class X) was organized by Margherita Education Block under the aegis of SDO (Civil) Margherita and in collaboration with North Eastern Coalfields Coal India Limited.
A total of 5 teams consisting of 2 members each from all the government schools of Margherita Education Block participated in the debate, which were selected through successive competitions held across 388 schools, 30 groups and 5 regional levels.
Santosh Dorjee and Irani Kalita won the best team award, the first runners-up were Kallul Bora and Heena Begum Barbhuyan and the second runners-up were Nikita Lama and Rahul Bhujal. The best speaker award for Motion in male and female categories was given to Kallul Bora and Parsimony Moran, while the best speaker award for Motion male and female categories was given to Rahul Bhujal and Heena Begum Barbhuyan. Preeti Kumari ADC in-charge, Margherita, Aditi Neog, Election Officer, Paresh Barua BEEO, NEC, Coal India officials, students and some local citizens were present in the final.
