Martyred Sub Inspector gets bravery award
Rajnandgaon. Martyr Deputy Inspector. Shyamkishore Sharma District Rajnandgaon was posthumously awarded the Police Gallantry Medal. According to the information received, on 8 May 2020, undivided district Rajnandgaon hall new district Mohla-Manpur-An. On the information of presence of about 7-8 Naxalites in village Pardhoni police station Manpur of Chowki, Deputy Inspector from police station Manpur. Shyam Kishore Sharma police station in-charge Madanwada, Deputy Inspector. Under the leadership of Praveen Dwivedi police station in-charge Kohka, about 28 officers and employees of the district police force left for village Pardhoni for searching. The police party was moving towards village Pardhoni while searching when at around 9.30 pm, the Naxalites, seeing the police party, started firing indiscriminately. Effective retaliatory action was taken by the police party. The firing lasted for about 15-20 minutes. The spot was searched after the firing.
Bodies of 4 Naxalites and 01 AK-47 rifle, 01 SLR rifle and 02 12 bore guns were recovered from the spot.
Martyr Deputy Inspector. Shyam Kishore Sharma displayed indomitable courage and bravery without caring for his life and was martyred while bravely fighting the Naxalites. Martyr Sub Inspector Shyam Kishore Sharma was posthumously awarded the President’s Police Gallantry Medal. On receiving the gallantry medal from the Government of India, District Rajnandgaon, Rahul Bhagat, under the direction of Inspector General of Police, Rajnandgaon Range, Mohit Garg, Superintendent of Police, Rajnandgaon, Ajit Ogre, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Naxal Campaign, Rajnandgaon, receiving the gallantry medal from the Government of India, Martyr Deputy Inspector. Shyam Kishore Sharma’s father Brijmohan Sharma was sent to be given honours. Who was martyred by Deputy Inspector General of Police, Office of Inspector General of Police, Surguja Range, Surguja on 11th December. Shyam Kishore Sharma’s father Brijmohan Sharma was honored and handed over to Ankit Garg, Inspector General of Police, Surguja Range, Surguja. Ajit Ogre, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Naxal Operations, Rajnandgaon was also present in the said program.
