Mauganj became the 53rd district of Madhya Pradesh
Bhopal (IANS). In Madhya Pradesh, the state government has made Mauganj the 53rd district by carving out three tehsils of Rewa district. For this, an official order has also been issued by the Revenue Department.
In the order issued by the Revenue Department in the name of the Governor, it has been told that three tehsils of Rewa district Mauganj, Hanumana and Naigarhi have been merged to form a new district Mauganj, whose headquarters will be Mauganj.
With the formation of new district of Mauganj, nine tehsils are now left in Rewa district.
It may be noted that till now there were 52 districts in the state and with the formation of new district of Mauganj, the number of districts in the state has increased to 53.
Earlier, there were total 12 tehsils in Rewa which are now reduced to nine. Now Huzur, Huzur Nagar, Jawa, Tyonthar, Rampur, Karchulian, Gurh, Sirmour, Simaria and Mangawan tehsils are left in Rewa district.
