Mekahara’s doctor removed tumor from the girl’s lung, treatment was done for free
Raipur: In the Heart, Chest and Vascular Surgery Department of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Memorial Hospital, Raipur, a 3 year old girl was given a new life by successful operation of a 1.5 kg tumor (cancer) located behind the heart inside the chest and stuck to the heart. . In medical language this tumor is called Ganglio Neurofibroma of Left Haemothorax. In common language it is called posterior mediastinal tumor.
The girl from a family living in Tudri village of Raigarh was completely normal after birth but by the age of 2 years, she lost her ability to walk. The girl was not even able to stand on her feet. Then he consulted Burla Medical College in Orissa but the disease was not detected there. After that he was taken to Raipur AIIMS where the disease was diagnosed. There was a tumor in the spinal cord of the girl. Due to which the girl’s legs had lost strength. The neurosurgeon of AIIMS removed the tumor from the spinal cord of the innocent child due to which the girl started walking a little but after some time this tumor spread to the entire left chest and this tumor was so big that the girl was not able to breathe properly.
