Minor Indian girl dies after falling from 17th floor in Sharjah
Dubai (IANS) | A 12-year-old girl from Kerala died after falling from the 17th floor of her residential building in Al Nahda area of Sharjah. This information was given in a media report. According to Khaleej Times report, the police immediately reached the spot after the incident, but failed to save the girl. The girl had returned home from school shortly before the incident.
His mother is a teacher in the same school and his father is in India.
The report released by Sharjah’s Al Qasimiya Hospital said that the child died of head injuries.
Social worker Ashraf Vadanappilly told Khaleej Times that the body of the child has been repatriated.
“We got all the necessary documents and the body was sent to India on Saturday morning for burial,” he said.
Last year, a five-year-old Indian girl died after falling from a small window that opened from the ninth floor of the family’s apartment near Al Bustan Center in Dubai on December 10 in the United Arab Emirates.
In November 2022, a three-year-old boy of Asian descent died after falling from the 14th floor of a building in Al Taawun area of Sharjah.
Earlier, a 10-year-old child died after falling from the 32nd floor of a residential tower located on King Faisal Street in Sharjah.
Last month, a 35-year-old Indian national poisoned his wife and two children aged three and seven to death before jumping off the 11th floor of their apartment in Sharjah’s Al Buhairah.
