Miscreants killed Sarpanch in mutual rivalry
Gohana. Sarpanch Rajesh alias Raju was killed this morning by firing bullets at him in Chhichhdana village under Sadar police station of Gohana. Two unknown attackers who came on a bike carried out the crime. The Sarpanch was also shot in the mouth and stomach. She was taken to the hospital of BPS Government Women’s Medical College, where the doctor declared her dead. the police has started to investigate.
Let us tell you that a day before the voting in Panchayat elections on 10 November 2022, Sarpanch candidate Dalbir from backward class was shot dead while his son Rahul was fatally attacked. It is being speculated that the incident was carried out due to the same rivalry. Sarpanch Rajesh alias Raju used to go to his field every morning. Today at around 6.30 in the morning he left for the farm with his bike. He had also taken milk with him in a steel vessel. When he went to the farm path some distance away from the village, unknown assailants opened fire on him.
He was hit by several bullets and fell on the spot bleeding. The attackers fled after committing the crime. Elections were held in the Panchayats of Kathura block on 11 November 2022. Elections were also held in the Panchayat of Chhichhdana village under the same section. Rajesh was declared Sarpanch after counting of votes on the same day. Just 13 months after becoming Sarpanch, he was murdered.
A backward class Sarpanch candidate was murdered in the Panchayat elections. Sarpanch candidate Rajesh was accused of conspiracy to murder and he won the election. In the Panchayat elections, the seat of Sarpanch of village Chhichhdana was for the general category. At that time, Rajesh, Praveen and Ravindra were candidates from general category while Dalbir from backward class was also contesting the elections. On the evening of 10 November 2022, just a day before voting, Sakshi had called Dalbir and his son Rahul to discuss the electoral equation.
When father and son went there, many people were found drinking alcohol. When they started leaving from there, at that very moment Bholu, Amit, Virendra and 10-15 people came and opened fire on the father and son. Dalbir was killed and his son Rahul was injured by the bullet. A case was registered on Rahul’s complaint. Now speculations are being made that Sarpanch Rajesh was murdered due to the same incident. At present the police is engaged in investigation.
