Surprisingly, the robbers looted the house within 15 minutes when Senapati had gone to drop his child at the school.Senapati alleged that this is the second time that robbers have looted the house. Miscreants had looted around Rs 15,000 from the house six months back.
“We have been living here for the last five years. However, now we are scared to live here as the house has been looted twice in six months. The looted items include two pairs of gold bangles, three pairs of gold earrings and two gold rings, the worth of which is around Rs 6 lakh,” said Senapati while speaking to Kalinga TV.“If police conducts a proper investigation, the miscreants will be arrested and we will get back our valuables,” he added. The incident has raised question mark on the capability of the Commissionerate Police in checking crimes and maintaining law and orders ahead of the festive season. The City police had even had announced that the habitual offenders will be arrested and put behind the bars with the aim to control crimes during the festive season.
