Miscreants murdered the leader, police started investigation

Raichur: A gang of miscreants killed a Dalit leader in Karnataka’s Raichur district on Monday. The deceased has been identified as 40-year-old Prasad. The murder took place in Mudlapur near Manvi taluk of Raichur district. According to the police, the killers stopped the victim when he was going on a bike. He was attacked with sharp weapons. The victim’s palm was cut and there were cut marks all over his body.

After the incident, Raichur SP Nikhil visited the spot. CO Manvi police has started investigation. The body has been sent to the taluk hospital and the police are gathering clues about the incident.

Dalit organizations have condemned the incident and demanded action against the killers. More information regarding the incident is yet to be revealed.
