Mobile robbery with staff nurse exposed, caught with the help of CCTV

Korba. Police have arrested the accused of mobile robbery. According to the information, Asha Chauhan came to the police station and lodged a report that on 28.10.2023 afternoon, she was going to her home in Podibahar while talking on her mobile phone on foot from Kosabadi Nexa showroom. Nexa had reached a short distance from the showroom when an unknown thief riding a motorcycle approached the applicant from behind and snatched the mobile phone from her right hand and ran away. On the report of the applicant, the crime was registered at Civil Lines Police Station Rampur and taken up for investigation.

During the investigation, CCTV footage installed around the incident site was scrutinized. In which one person Mohd. Showed his face while looting. On the basis of which the identity of the accused was being searched. During this time, information was received from the informer that the accused who robbed the staff nurse on the date of the incident was from Ramsagarpara. After which a police team was formed and the accused of robbery was arrested.

Whose name was Salman Khan, father Nafees Khan, age 19 years, address – resident of Ramsagarpara ward number 01, police station Kotwali Korba and confessed to committing the crime. Mobile Samsung Galaxy F23 5G and a motorcycle CG 12 AR 0438 used in the incident have been seized from the accused. The accused has been sent on Nayak remand.
