Summer vacations in schools from tomorrow: School Education Department issues instructions to parents

Tamil Nadu: Summer vacations begin on Friday (April 17) for students in grades 1 to 9 in Tamil Nadu’s school education system. The School Education Department has issued important instructions to parents.
Since the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections are scheduled for April 23 this year, the elections were held earlier than usual. Consequently, the year’s exams for students in grades 1 to 9 will conclude on Thursday. Subject exams, including social science, will be held on the last day. Following this, students will be given summer vacation starting Friday (April 17). Schools will reopen on June 1.
In this context, School Education Director S. Kannappan has provided some instructions on what parents should keep in mind for student safety during these holidays.
The details: Parents should not allow students to swim in water bodies like the sea, rivers, lakes, ponds, and puddles during the holidays. Drink plenty of water during outdoor games, as the heat is intense. Avoid playing outside during the day when the sun is shining. During the holidays, some students may face challenges that affect their physical and mental health. This should be handled appropriately.
