Mohammed Shami took the fourth wicket, New Zealand faltered

New Delhi: The first semi-final match of ICC ODI World Cup 2023 between Team India and New Zealand is being played at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. In the current ODI World Cup, Team India has been unbeaten in all 9 ODI matches. Along with Team India, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand have also made it to the semi-finals of the World Cup 2023. Team India has never lost a match against New Zealand on home grounds in the World Cup.

In such a situation, it is not going to be an easy task for the New Zealand team to defeat Team India even in today’s match. Meanwhile, Team India captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to bat first. After winning the toss and opting to bat first, Team India scored 397 runs losing four wickets in the stipulated 50 overs. For Team India, star batsman Virat Kohli played the highest innings of 117 runs. Tim Southee took maximum three wickets for New Zealand. New Zealand team has to score 398 runs in 50 overs to win this match. The New Zealand team, which came to chase the target, has suffered a fourth major setback. Tom Latham became the victim of Mohammed Shami after scoring 0 runs. New Zealand team’s score is 220/4.
