Monsoon in Odisha: Cyclonic circulation to develop over Bay of Bengal by Sept 29

Bhubaneswar: The retreat of Southwest monsoon has commenced in India. Monsoon winds have retreated from the Western and southern areas of Rajasthan. Typically, India sees the withdrawal of monsoon by September 17. The process has begun with an eight day delay, this year.This year, the onset of monsoon was recorded on July 2. Weather forecasts predict the development of a cyclonic circulation by September 29. The circulation is to develop over the Northern Andaman sea adjoining the East-Central Bay of Bengal. The circulation is expected to develop into a low pressure area. It is further expected to intensify into a depression.
