More than 900 people fell ill, had gone to eat thirteenth feast
Jhansi (Uttar Pradesh): In Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh, about a thousand people who had gone to eat the thirteenth feast at the former Pradhan’s house fell ill. Among the people who fell ill, some started vomiting and some started having diarrhea. He was immediately admitted to the hospital. It was his thirteenth day on Friday. In the thirteenth, people from dozens of nearby villages were called. It is being told that about 3 thousand villagers were invited.
But after eating the thirteenth feast in the afternoon, about 1000 people fell ill. He was admitted to the hospital after complaining of vomiting and diarrhea. But the situation became worse when there was a queue of people in the hospital. When beds became scarce, the sick had to be admitted to hospitals outside the district.
It is being told that till late night, more than 100 people have been admitted to Jhansi Medical College. Whereas, other people were admitted to different hospitals. Regarding which the former Pradhan has expressed the fear of something being mixed into the rivalry against unknown people.
According to the victims, the Thirteenth program continued till late night at the former Pradhan’s house. But by Saturday morning people’s health started deteriorating. Within no time there was chaos in dozens of villages. Some started vomiting and some started having diarrhea. Stomach pain also started. Gradually the number of such patients reached 1000.
Initially the patients thought it was a seasonal disease, but when they did not get relief, they went to the doctor. Then it came to light that he had food poisoning. Dr. Ravi Sharma, EMO, who is on emergency duty at Jhansi Medical College, says that till 10 pm, 42 people have been reported to be ill. About 1000 people are said to be ill. Arrangements are being made for everyone’s treatment. Separate wards have been created.
At the same time, as soon as information about the matter was received, SDM, SP Rural and other officers reached the spot. Where the investigation was conducted. The Food Department team had reached village Baroda with him. The team has taken samples of many things including puri, sweets, oil, curd and sent them for testing. The report will come after three days. The reason for food poisoning will become clear only after the report comes.
