MoU signed between SMVDU, NIT Delhi
National Institute of Technology (NIT) Delhi and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) Katra have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen academic and research collaboration between the two institutions. Recognizing their strengths in research and academics in various disciplines including science, engineering, management and social sciences, both NIT Delhi and SMVDU have agreed to establish a comprehensive program for academic collaboration in areas of mutual interest. Highlights of the MoU include exchange of information related to research activities, collaboration on joint research projects and consultancy services, joint supervision of postgraduate and PhD students, sharing of infrastructure, expert lectures by faculty members, joint conferences, workshops, seminars. Dr Vikram Singh, Assistant Professor (SoECE) and Dr Vineet Tyagi, Dean, R&D, SMVDU, NIT Delhi along with Professor Manoj Kumar (ECE), will coordinate the day-to-day implementation of the MoU. Both institutions have committed to review from time to time to further strengthen cooperation. The MOU will be valid for 3 years from the date of signing, with a provision for extension upon mutual consent.
