MP: Interstate arms smuggler arrested with five country-made pistols in Sendhwa

Sendhwa: In a significant crackdown on illegal arms trade, Worla police on Thursday arrested an interstate arms smuggler with five country-made pistols.

According to police station in-charge Dinesh Singh, following a tip-off, a police team under the guidance of SP Puneet Gehlod arrested the accused Aatish Yadav, 20, Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh, from Dudhkheda village. Sendhwa).

Upon arrest, police officials recovered and seized five country-made pistols, a mobile phone and items worth more than Rs 1 lakh. The accused is currently being interrogated to reveal more information about the smuggling network. ASI Pandhari Solanki, Baliram Patidar, head constable Gajendra Yadav played important roles.

Umarti village: center of illegal arms manufacturing and distribution

Umrati village, located under the jurisdiction of Varla police station, has been notorious for the production and sale of illegal weapons. Police is continuously taking action against illegal weapons activities in Umrati. Mainly people of Sikligar community live in the village. The police are actively engaged with them in an effort to discourage illegal activities.

Recently ASP Anil Kumar Patidar and SDOP Kamal Singh Chauhan interacted with Sikligar community and urged them to leave illegal trade practices and join the mainstream of the society.
