Mumbai Metro Pillar Collapses On Moving Auto 1 Dead 4 Injured In Mulund

A tragedy has occurred in the capital of Maharashtra, Mumbai. A metro pillar under construction collapsed. According to initial information, one person was killed and four others were injured in this incident. The metro pillar under construction at the Johnson and Johnson factory on LBS Road, in the local Mulund area, collapsed at 12.20 pm on Saturday.
An auto-rickshaw travelling on the collapsed Metro Pillar Road fell on a car. One person in the vehicle died and four others were injured. The vehicles were destroyed. Firefighters and police reached the spot after receiving information about the incident. The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital. Relief efforts are underway. Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) officials, BMC officials and Metro officials have reached the spot and are reviewing the situation. Officials have announced that full medical assistance will be provided to the injured.
In the wake of this accident, traffic in the Mulund area was severely disrupted. Due to this, traffic officials stepped in and took traffic control measures. Motorists were advised to take alternative routes. Locals are expressing anger over this incident. They are criticizing that such accidents are happening due to the negligence of the officials.
