Murder after 45 days of marriage, husband buried wife’s body in Bari
Bemetra. In Bemetara, the husband killed his wife and buried her in a 2 feet pit. It is being told that the marriage took place only a month ago. The accused husband is absconding since the incident. The whole matter is of Luk village of Parpodi police station area. According to the information received, the husband has buried the newly married woman in the courtyard near the house. The name of the deceased is Reshmi Verma (22), whose maternal home is in Kullu village. The husband’s name is Omprakash Verma. It is being told that both of them got married on 18 February 2024.
Reshmi Verma’s mother-in-law Biran Bai told that she had gone to Achhoti village of Dhamdha on Saturday. The son and daughter-in-law bid farewell by touching his feet. When she returned home on Monday, Karuna, wife of elder son Ramakant, told her that her son and daughter-in-law Omprakash and Reshmi had gone somewhere without informing her. After this, the family immediately informed the police station. Filed a missing report. Both were searched for two days, but were not found anywhere. After this, on Thursday morning the mother-in-law of the deceased had gone out to throw ashes in the garden, when she smelled the smell. When a nearby pit was dug, the daughter-in-law’s body was found there. Police and maternal side were informed about this. Reshmi Verma’s brother Karan Verma has alleged that husband Omprakash and his family members together murdered his sister.
