Murder of a young man by beheading for money transaction, three arrested
Bijnor (IANS). Due to old enmity in Chamrawala of Nagina police station area of UP’s Bijnor district, a 23-year-old youth was first killed by his neighbor along with two of his companions and then buried the dead body in a sack by digging a pit.
The deceased has been identified as Bhupendra alias Birju. Police has given this information.
Nagina police station in-charge (SHO) Dhirendra Gangwar said that on August 10, father Dhanapal had lodged a missing report of his son at Nagina police station. The complainant said that his son was missing from his house since August 9 without any information.
The SHO said, during investigation, the names of Shekhar, Arvind and Brajesh alias Thakra cropped up. The father of the deceased had last seen him along with all three.
During preliminary investigation, it was revealed that the deceased and Shekhar were having a dispute over money. The SHO said, on sustained interrogation, the accused accepted their involvement in the murder case. Subsequently, they have been arrested under appropriate sections of law while one of the accused is still absconding.
At the instance of the accused, the body of the deceased was recovered from a pit on the bank of the river.
The local police has sent the panchayatnama of the body to the district mortuary for postmortem. The SHO said that accused Shekhar, Arvind and Brajesh alias Thakra have confessed to the crime. In police interrogation, accused Shekhar told that both of them used to work as laborers in a factory in Panipat. There was a fight between the two over the rent money. Shekhar used to have enmity with the deceased regarding this matter.
And a year ago there was a dispute between Bhupendra’s father and accused Brajesh’s father. Due to the dispute, there was an argument between Bhupendra and Arvind on August 7 and later there was a fight. Distressed by this, Shekhar and Arvind discuss their plan with their associates Naubahar and Brajesh alias Thakra.
Later on August 8, along with Shekhar, Naubahar and Brajesh, killed Bhupendra by slitting his throat and later put the body in a gunny bag and buried it in a pit on the banks of Kho river.
The SHO said that accused Shekhar, Arvind and Brajesh alias Thakra have been arrested, while accused Naubahar is still absconding. Efforts are on to arrest the accused.
