Shahdol: In Shahdol district of Madhya Pradesh, a Patwari who had gone to stop illegal excavation of sand was killed by being run over by a tractor. 45-year-old Prasanna Singh, resident of Rewa district, was posted as Patwari in Beohari. On receiving the information late in the night, Patwari along with his three other colleagues went to the place from where they were getting information about illegal excavation of sand.
During this, Patwari saw that some people were leaving the spot carrying illegal sand in tractors. Patwari Prasanna Singh came in front of the tractor and tried to stop it, but the tractor driver ran away from there, crushing the Patwari. Before this, for the last three days, the administration was also taking action against illegal sand excavation in the same area, but the fearless mafia was continuously engaged in illegal excavation from Son river.
As soon as information about the incident was received, the police laid siege and arrested the accused tractor driver from Maihar district. Accused driver Shubham Vishwakarma and tractor owner Prashant Singh, both are residents of Maihar. Police have registered a case of murder.
