My character in ‘The Trial’ is story of every woman: Kajol

Mumbai (IANS) | Bollywood actress Kajol will be next seen in the upcoming courtroom web drama series ‘The Trial – Pyaar, Kanoon, Dhokha’. In this, she played the character of Nayonika Sengupta on screen. Regarding her character, the actress said that it is a character that she has never played before in her career. Kajol said, Noyonika’s character is that of an ambitious woman who will do anything to save her and her children’s future. I think that’s what most women everywhere do.

Housewives do the most unpaid work in the world, she said. My character is also the same. That’s the core of her, I think that’s the core of every woman.

With her husband serving a prison sentence, Noyonika is forced to walk a difficult path to provide for her family. She works in a law firm and works hard to support her family. Caught in a web of choices, The Trial – Love, Law, Cheating follows Noyonika as she embarks on a journey that forces her to overcome life’s ups and downs.

The series is an Indian adaptation of the American legal drama The Good Wife and is directed by Suparn S. Directed by Varma. The courtroom drama also stars Sheeba Chaddha, Jisshu Sengupta, Eli Khan, Kubbra Sait and Gaurav Pandey in key roles.

The Trial – Pyaar, Kanoon, Dhoka, produced by Banijay Asia, will begin streaming on Disney+ Hotstar on July 14, 2023.
