Nagpur-Bilaspur Vande Bharat train fare update
Raipur. The Railway Board has said in an order that AC chair car and executive class fares will be reduced by up to 25 per cent in all trains including Vande Bharat, in which more than 50 per cent of the total capacity seats remain vacant. This reduction in fare will be applicable with immediate effect. Trains with Anubhuti and Vistadome coaches will also be included in its ambit. According to the order, the concession in fare will also depend on the fare of competing modes of transport. Accordingly, Ministry of Railways has decided to empower Principal Chief Commercial Managers of Railway Zones to grant concession in AC seat train fares.
Similarly, the average passenger attendance of Nagpur-Bilaspur Vande Bharat Express was 55 per cent, while that of Bhopal-Jabalpur Vande Bharat Express was 32 per cent. It added that the fares of competing modes of transport will be taken into account while deciding on the concession in fares. According to the order, “The concession system will be implemented with immediate effect. Refunds will not be given to passengers who have already booked seats. ”It has been clarified in the order that this scheme will not apply to special trains run during holidays or festive season.
