Narco terror module busted in Ramban, Jammu and Kashmir, 30 kg cocaine seized
Jammu (IANS). Jammu and Kashmir Police has busted a narco terror module in Ramban district. Police stopped a vehicle coming from Kashmir towards Jammu at Railway Chowk in Banihal in the district. Out of which 30 kg of cocaine was seized.
The price of cocaine in the international market is said to be around Rs 300 crore. Along with this, the police have also arrested two people.
This operation was based on the intelligence received by SSP Ramban and his team. This team is continuously waging a war against drug smugglers and smugglers. Ramban police has already registered cases against a large number of notorious smugglers.
Police said that a total of 104 cases have been registered in the year 2022. While 36 cases have been registered so far in 2023, in which 2,500 kg of opium husk, 30 kg of cocaine, 10 kg of hashish, 200 g of heroin and 200 tablets were recovered. 158 accused have been arrested and 33 have been detained under PIT NDPS.
