National President of Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena Gogamedi shot dead
Jaipur: Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi, national president of Shri Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena, was shot dead in Jaipur on Tuesday afternoon when assailants opened fire at him outside his house and fled.
Gogamedi was taken to Metro Mass Hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.
Another person named Ajit Singh, who was with Gogamedi at the time of the incident, was seriously injured.
According to the police, Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi’s house is on Shyam Nagar Janpath and both the miscreants reached his house at around 1:30 pm on Tuesday afternoon. As soon as Gogamedi arrived, the miscreants started firing at him. According to sources, Gogamedi was hit by four bullets.
After firing at them, the miscreants ran away and tried to hijack a car to escape, but the driver drove away.
Then he snatched the scooter from a rider coming from behind and ran away.
Shyam Nagar police reached the spot and started investigation.
Gogamedi was associated with Rashtriya Karni Sena for a long time and later after a dispute in the organization, he left it and formed his own separate organization.
He came into limelight due to the protests in Rajasthan regarding the film Padmavat and the gangster Anandpal encounter case.
