Naxalites digging the road surrendered

Dantewada. Two Maoists have surrendered before Dantewada Police under Lon Varatu operation. Both of them were involved in the incidents of digging roads, cutting trees and putting up banner posters during the Naxalite bandh. The surrendered Maoists have given up the path of violence and expressed faith in democracy and the Constitution.

In fact, under the Naxal eradication campaign being run in Dantewada district and the “rehabilitation policy” of Chhattisgarh government, in the last few months, the district police force and CRPF are working to integrate the stray Maoists into the mainstream of society. Besides, the Naxal rehabilitation policy of the administration is being widely publicized from village to village. As a result, this change is visible in the Maoist cadre and a large number of Maoist cadres are surrendering.
