NDA vs Mahagathbandhan contest – 6 vs 6 political fight in Bihar?
New Delhi (IANS) | After forming the Grand Alliance government in Bihar with Nitish Kumar, JDU and RJD especially Tejashwi Yadav constantly claim that they have completely isolated BJP in Bihar politics. At one time such a situation had really arisen in the politics of Bihar that except LJP, no other political party was left with the BJP. So, in Nitish Kumar-Tejashwi Yadav’s Grand Alliance, Nitish Kumar’s party JDU, Lalu Yadav’s RJD, Jitan Ram Manjhi’s party HAM and Congress, apart from CPI, CPM and CPI-ML, a total of seven parties had joined. But in Bihar, while preparing for the Lok Sabha elections, the BJP, on the one hand, made a dent in Nitish Kumar’s party, and on the other hand, weakened the Grand Alliance, and now in the coming days, the party is going to expand the NDA in Bihar in this way. That the chances of a 6 vs 6 contest in the state have increased. That means there can be 6 political parties in Nitish’s Grand Alliance and in the BJP-led NDA alliance, the possibility of only 6 parties contesting the elections is getting stronger.
After the exit of Jitan Ram Manjhi’s party HAM from the grand alliance, now only six parties including CPI, CPM and CPI-ML are left in it apart from JDU, RJD and Congress.
On the other hand, if we talk about BJP’s allies, RLJP is officially included in the alliance and its leader Pashupati Paras is also a minister in the Modi government. But if BJP sources are to be believed, in the coming days Chirag Paswan may join the NDA alliance with his party LJP (Ram Vilas), Upendra Kushwaha and Jitan Ram Manjhi, who broke away from JDU and formed their own party, Hum.
If sources are to be believed, BJP is also trying to bring VIP’s Mukesh Sahni into the NDA. If this effort of BJP is successful, BJP, RLJP, LJP (Ram Vilas), RLJD, HAM and VIP will join the NDA clan in Bihar as well. That is, if there is no further rift in the Grand Alliance in the future and the BJP manages to convince everyone, then in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, a political battle of 6 versus 6 can be seen in Bihar.
