Neighbour slits 14-year-old girl throat, hides body in his house in Gurugram

Gurugram: A 14-year-old was allegedly killed by her neighbour who slit her throat and hid her body in his house in Silokhra village of Gurugram. The incident took place on February 4 at the Silokhra village.

As per investigation, the accused resided next door to the minor girl family, who committed the crime to take revenge of his enmity. Reports say, the victim’s family resided in a one-room rented space in a building in Indira colony, Silokhra village in Gurugram. The minor girl’s mother asked to bring soap from the common washroom. When the girl did not return back for a long period of time, her family began searching for her.

The accused, identified as Bahadur was standing outside his room and when the girl’s father Gyani Thapa asked about his daughter, he said the girl had gone out to buy some food. However, the father grew suspicious and asked him to open his room. When denied, Thapa forcibly opened his door and found his daughter’s blood-soaked body wrapped in a blanket. Bahadur immediately fled from the scene and went absconding.

The family members immediately informed the police about the incident. On being informed, the cops reached the spot and recovered the girl’s body. Based on a complaint by the deceased’s father, an FIR was registered against Bahadur under Section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code at the Sector 40 police station.

In his complaint, Thapa mentioned the detailed history about what happened between both the families. He mentioned, he and Bahadur both hailed from Nepal and have been living together as neighbours in the colony. Bahadur use to give money and food items to his minor daughter. Around six months ago, Bahadur accused the minor girl of stealing some cash and mobile from his home following which they had a heated argument and even threatened to kill one of his family members.

Thapa, immediately relocated to a different rented house, but soon after Bahadur started living in the same accomodation. The Station House Officer (SHO) Manoj Kumar said the motive behind the murder would only become clear after the accused’s arrest. He also said that efforts were on to arrest the accused at the earliest.
