Nephew made aunt a victim of lust, court’s decision came

Dehradun: The court sentenced ten years of rigorous imprisonment to the nephew found guilty of raping his aunt. A fine of Rs 10,000 was also imposed on the culprit, out of which Rs 8,000 will be given to the victim as compensation. The court of Additional District and Sessions Judge Pankaj Tomar heard the case on Monday.

Assistant District Government Advocate Kishore Kumar said that on October 7, 2021, a woman filed a case at Rajpur police station. The woman had told that her husband’s nephew also lived with her. Her husband was a security guard, so many times she had to be on night duty.

The allegation was that in the absence of her husband, her nephew raped her several times. She also instigated the husband against the woman. The woman had also accused her husband of not supporting her. On the basis of all the witnesses and evidence, the court found the young man guilty and sentenced him. If the fine is not paid, the convict will have to face additional imprisonment of three months.
