New Delhi: BSF jawan injured in militant attack, condition stable
New Delhi: The condition of a Border Security Force (BSF) soldier injured in an attack by terrorists in Manipur’s Moreh on Tuesday is stable and has been shifted to the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal. Four police commandos and a Border Security Force (BSF) jawan were reported injured on Tuesday in an ambush by terrorists in Manipur’s Moreh town. A senior BSF officer said that the injured soldier has been shifted to RIMS, where he is undergoing treatment and his condition is stable.
The officer said, “The injured soldier was on picket duty when the attack took place. He suffered injuries along with the state police commando. All of them have been shifted to RIMS.” The officer said the deployment of paramilitary forces is on the orders of the state police to maintain law and order situation. Meanwhile, curfew was reimposed on Sunday in Moreh in Tengnoupal district of the state following intermittent firing between armed miscreants and state police commandos since Saturday afternoon.
