New Renault Duster AWD expected to be launched by the end of 2025
Renault’s sister brand Dacia will introduce the AWD version of the Duster SUV worldwide by the end of 2025. This will be good news for those who want an SUV to suit their needs. The new Duster AWD will be offered with an electric rear axle. This special variant will be the top of the line variant. The company’s CEO Denis Le Vot has already confirmed to Autocar UK that this development will be a new “technological solution” from the company. The rear axle will come with an e-motor. There will also be hybrid and automatic versions of the car. Apart from this, there will also be an LPG version. The SUV will be very economical.
At present, the new Duster is available in three powertrain options. It has 1.0-litre, 1.2-litre and 1.6-litre engine options. The 1.0-litre three-cylinder engine generates 100hp of power while the 1.2-litre mild-hybrid variant generates 130hp of power. On the other hand, the 1.6-litre petrol-hybrid engine generates a maximum power of 140hp. The same electric axle setup will be offered in the Bigster SUV as well. The new Duster is based on the same CMF-B platform.
After the launch of the Duster AWD, the company is preparing to introduce an electric version of the Duster. The new generation of Duster is expected to get an electric powertrain and is likely to arrive in 2030 or 2031.
The Duster FWD is expected to launch in India next year.
